Fabricio spent would spend 8 years at Newcastle United and several of those as Captain. His early career saw him move around quite a bit. Just two games for Boca Jnrs before a move to Milan, where he played for them only once in a period that saw him loaned out on four separate occasions. At Newcastle he found a home however. He played with several defensive partners including Bassong, Williamson and Steve Taylor, and whilst he probably will never be seen as a legend at the club, he was an excellent servant, staying with the club through some of their darkest years including a relegation. He eventually left the club to go back to his native Argentina to be closer to his family and to see out the last few years of his playing career. Capped 39 times for his national side, he also played with some of the greats in world football at the time, including Aguero and possibly the greatest player of all time in Lionel Messi.
