An FA Cup winner with Newcastle United in 1932, Jimmy was a big personality and and off the pitch for the Magpies during his almost 10 years at the club.

A tricky winger, he was capped just once for his native Scotland in 1933, but one to be proud of nonetheless even if it was a defeat to Ireland.

Jimmy would go on to play for Derby County before returning to his adopted home of the North East becoming a scout for both Middlesborough and Newcastle United of course.
