Vivian was a Slough born Striker who is most famed for spells at Luton Town and Fulham.

Indeed Newcastle were only to loan the player from the former of these two clubs for a short spell in 1971. Struggling for form at the time, he did little to convince the Magpies hierarchy that he was worth keeping on despite scoring two goals in four leagues games (one on his debut against WBA and another in the following game against West Ham).

His parting gift however would be as part of the Newcastle United side humiliated by Hereford Town in the FA Cup. A result that is still heralded as one of the greatest Cup upsets ever (just watch any third round match on live TV and you'll hear the reference).

Vivian would go on to play for a number of clubs, including a short spell in the infancy of North American professional football.
