Born in South Sheilds, Tom would spend all but one season of his career at his beloved Newcastle United (one season at Stockport before retirement).

His time at Newcastle would be delayed as he was a serving soldier in World War I, but upon his return he would play for the Magpies for ten years.

He would go on to training positions at first Carlisle and then four years at Manchester United. Curry was tragically one of the 23 people killed in the Munich Air Disaster along with so many of the 'Busby Babes'.
