Karl Darlow signed for Newcastle in a joint deal that also saw Jamaal Lascelles join the Magpies in the summer of 2014, immediately being loaned back to Forest for that season.

Making his debut in the League Cup in 2015 in a 4-1 win over Northampton Town it would take under December of that year for him to make his bow in the league for the black and whites.

Karl would spend much of his time at Newcastle as understudy for keepers such at Elliot, Sels and Dubravka.

He was loaned to Hull City in January 2023 before being sold to Leeds United in the Championship in the summer of 2023.
