Something of a mercenary, Debuchy joined Newcastle from Lille in the January of 2013 for a fee of £5.5m after Newcastle had failed to sign him the summer before.

You can't be too harsh on a lad who's only goal was in the Tyne Wear derby to level the scores at 1-1, only to see the Magpies lose the game 2-1.

Despite having signed a five and a half year deal at Newcastle he was off to Arsenal after just 18 months. At least United got a good fee for the lad. More so when you consider he ended up only playing 13 league games from the Gunners.

With 27 caps for his country and a Champions League pedigree, Mathieu was certainly a quality player, we just didn't see enough of him at St James Park.
