A single season at Newcastle for a lad who first made his name in England during his spell at Bolton. Quick and decent enough as a defender he was a healthy addition to the Newcastle squad and he would go on to play 22 league games before going on to Stoke (where most people will remember him playing).

He played 36 times for his country, scoring twice.
