Talked about as a 'tricky' outside-right Angus started his career in the lower reaches of the Scottish leagues.

He would eventually move to Chelsea in 1918 and played 103 games for the blues over a four and a half year period.

He transferred to Newcastle United for a fee of £1,100 and played until 1918 and the outbreak of World War I. And whilst had lasted out the War he unfortunately fell ill during a flu epidemic and passed away aged just 29.

Angus played once for Scotland in a 2-0 home win against Ireland.
