With over 400 appearances for Caen and Monaco the colourful Franck joined Newcastle United in the summer of 1999 before leaving the club in the winter window of the same season.

Back in France he'd have success again with Lens before returning to where it all started first as a player in Caen and then Sporting Director, then manager.

He'd manage a host of clubs including in Morocco and DR Congo.

Back in France though he'd be jailed for tax evasion after two cases were brought against him.
