Those lucky (or old) enough to have been standing in the Gallowgate End at St James Park on 23 April 1993 will not forget the name Scott Sellars. His curling left foot shot that day against Sunderland was enough to write him into Geordie folklore with a 1-0 win also all but securing promotion for Newcastle United too. Sellars also had significant spells playing at Blackburn, Bolton and Leeds and went on to coaching roles including at Manchester City and Wolves.
