Xisco was on the books at Newcastle United for a total of five years, having joined for a considerable fee in 2008.
But the young spaniard never fulfilled his potential whilst at the Magpies, or indeed after his period at the club, scoring just once in 11 appearances for the club. Newcastle in fact trying to sell the player just 4 months after he arrived in the winter transfer window, no doubt having realised their mistake on watching the player in close quarters. Their attempt to offload the player was blocked by FIFA who do not allow players to be registered to three teams in a season.
He would be loaned out to Racing Santander the following summer, then to Deportivo in 2011, before finally being released from at the end of his contract in 2013.
This one was a transfer to forget!!
