Ashley Speaks

Mike Ashley has spoken to to Sky Sports in a frank and lengthy interview about all things Newcastle United.

Not since May 2015 had we heard directly from the Newcastle owner, but today Sky ran a preview, with the full interview to go out on Sky at 7pm this Sunday 13th August.

In the interview Ashley he admits to errors in the appointment of Allardyce whilst says he did not understand that Newcastle fans would rather finish lower in the league and miss out on revenue than have the stadium renames.

His key statements seem to be around transfers however, with comments on not being able to sign players and not having money like Manchester City and others.
