And its...
Newcastle United will play League 2 side Luton Town at St James Park in the 3rd round of the FA Cup after the draw was made this evening.
Luton sit top of League 2 having only lost 3 times this season in the league, amassing 41 points and winning their last 3 on the spin. That said, Rafa would expect that any team he puts out should have enough to win this one at home, although he thought the same when we played Forest in the League Cup earlier this season.
Ties will be played on the weekend of the 6-7 January but with some cracking draws, coupled with Manchester United always being picked, there is little chance that the Newcastle United game will be anything other than a 3pm kick off on Saturday 6th January.
Pick of the ties…
Liverpool v Everton
Brighton v Crystal Palace
Middlesbrough v Sunderland
