Newcastle United: Safe...

Four wins in a row. From relegation zone (if only for a matter of hours) to the dizzy heights of 10th in the Premier League and now only a point behind Everton and two behind Leicester we’re hardly taking much of a gamble in declaring Newcastle United ’safe’ for the season.

Another 3 points, this time putting Arsenal to the sword, means Rafa can already start to dust off those plans for 2018/19 he was talking about last week. Certainly we’d love to see both Dubravka and Kenedy nailed down, although the latter may be particularly hard to secure given his on loan performances.

For now we can however revel in the joy of being in mid-table ‘obscurity’ in the nicest possible way. The delight of not having to go into these last few games of the season in fear as the footballing world marvels at the job done by Rafa and his boys - or at least they should.
