It's Newport or Watford in Round 4 (if NUFC find a way past Morecambe!)

If Newcastle United can overcome Morecambe in Round 3 of the League Cup next Wednesday, they face the prospect of a trip to either Newport of Watford in the following round after another favourable draw this evening.

The draw represents a fantastic opportunity to Steve Bruce and his men to get to another Quarter Final after achieving this rarest of feats in last seasons FA Cup, before succumbing to, what was at that time, and unstoppable Manchester City.

Games will be played in the week commencing 28th September, meaning that just 2 weeks from now Newcastle could be within touching distance from Wembley once more.

The draw was not so kind to some of the big boys, with a number going to be dumped out in the next two rounds. If Liverpool overcome Lincoln, they will face either Leicester or Arsenal. Everton face off against West Ham (again assuming the Premier League clubs prevail in their 3 Rd ties). The same goes for Spurs and Chelsea.
