Cheap, not as good as last season, no effort made. And that's just the new kit...
Newcastle United launched their 2020/21 kit today and it didn't impress us too much.
Essentially a rip-off of last seasons West Brom kit, with no more than the blue stripes changed to black, it tells you pretty much all you need to know about the effort going in to the club right now.
And that's not where the rip-off ends:
Adult shirt: £65
Adult shorts: £35
Adult socks: £16
That's a 'bargain' at £116 for this season kit from all not very good Sports Direct shops, including the one branded as the NUFC official store which will continue to line Mike Ashley's pockets.
If you're really interested then the official club shop (from which our photo's are taken) can be found HERE

In the week prior to the launch there had been confirmation that FUN88 would continue to be the main shirt sponsor on a 'long term' deal. Newcastle, of course, having to do something with the shirt sponsorship deal as the proposed takeover of the club, that should have been concluded months ago, continues to rumble on and thus not allowing any progress on new / change deals.
Likewise, Puma continue to be the kit manufacturer, with their kit designers obviously having not had the chance to work on anything at all what with COVID'n'all.
For us, until the club is sold, why not support a local club with buying their kit instead. We particularly like this one...
