Dubravka Signs On

Welcome news from the corridors of St James Park as today came news that Martin Dubravka has been persuaded to sign on for another 6 years at Newcastle United.

Having joined the Magpies back in last years January transfer window the Slovakian stopper has become something of a fans favourite between the sticks keeping 17 clean sheets already in his time at the club.

At 30, Martin is something close to in his prime and tying the player to a long term deal will come as a relief to some as he’d started to be linked to other clubs as recently as last summer.

Whilst his contract will be worth little, you’d expect, should United go down this season, should they avoid the drop the news will either mean many more years in the green of Newcastle United for Dubravka, or at least ensure a hefty transfer fee should that ever be the outcome.
